Cyclocity is deployed in Japan(11/10/2011)
Launched in March 2010 in Toyama, Cyclocity, the first self-service bicycle system in Japan, consists of 15 stations and 150 bicycles.
The service responds to the needs of the Japanese, who wish to implement an innovative system that respects the environment, as well as offering a solution in terms of sustainable development.
Cyclocity-Toyama was one of the first services to adopt the subscription system along with the purchase of short-term tickets (valid for two days or one week) directly online, using bank card payment.
Users can activate their subscription thanks to an activation code on their PASSCA transport card.
The Japanese can take a bicycle out directly from a station using their subscription card or their PASSCA card.
